Forza 3 not a sim says GT creator

Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi says he doesn't believe Forza Motorsport 3 is an accurate simulation of driving.

Yamauchi's comments come in an interesting interview with Autoweek, where he discloses that Gran Turismo 5 has cost in the region of $60 million to develop, adding car damage is easy [so why wait to game 5? - Ed.] and that we won't have to wait so long for Gran Turismo 6.

Amid the reasonable chat about GT5 featuring 1000 cars and suchlike came this little fanboy baiting bombshell:

"I was watching the guys at our company trying it out in the office," he said. "I tried it a little bit. It's very similar in a lot of aspects to Gran Turismo. Some base components of the game are very different from Gran Turismo. It's a little bit different from what a simulator is. You can feel it when you drive it."

Ooh get her. Now we just have to wait for Turn10's response.

And he probably thinks Gran Turismo is a full-fledged simulator? Pfft.
